Well, I am finally able to get on the social networking sites, MySpace and Facebook. My tech guy decided that I was not really going to destroy the computer system here with a higher level of access. I toured the sites suchas the Denver Public Library’s site. It is neat, but I wonder how much it is really used. I will have to go back and see if it records the number of “hits”.
(my Librarything)
I have a Facebook page, and even have a few friends…. but it is not a very exciting place. jeesh, I sound like such a nerd!
As I mentioned earlier, I have poked around the generators. I love Letter James. It is fun to use, with very cool results.
I have an account of Librarything. I do the cataloging here at work, (and actually like it), but I don’t think I will be putting my home library on Librarything. I posted a dozen or so titles to see it in action. I am thinking about how it could be used as a school site to further book discussions. It has definate potential.

Well I am up to #12, image generators….. I used Letter James to generate the new masthead for this blog. The graffiti style letters were created with this. It is an incredible program. The letters do look like actual graffiti. Once again, very cool.

I have been experimenting with Flickr and all it can do….. what an incredible program. Not only can you organize your photos, but you can manipulate them in endless ways. I think I need to give up my day job!
I rellay like the possibilites with the Trading Card Maker, and the Spell with Flickr. I am still trying to figure out how to insert a word created with Spell with Flickr into myblog. I can get single letter into the blog, but as of yet not a completed word.
